Below i have provided a small piece of useful information about how to tell if your baby budgie is male or female.
Everyone likes to know the budgie sex of their new feathered friend
And a question i get asked alot is " Whats my baby budgies sex "
Firstly, you cannot really tell the age of a new baby budgie until it is at least 3 months old.
Some very good breeders accross the uk know the sex of a baby budgie from just a few weeks old.
When a baby budgie is aprox 4 weeks old, you might see that the cere on the baby budgie is rather purple,
this is a indication that your baby budgie is a cock bird, and he will grow into a beautiful boy budgie and by the time
he is 3 months old, he will have a lovely bright blue cere.
On the other hand, if your baby budgie's cere looks rather pale, and have white rings around the nose, then this is a indication
that your baby budgie is a hen bird, and will grow into a beautiful female budgie, and by the time shes 3 months, you will see her
cere changeing to a brown colour.
If you havent got a baby budgie, and you have got a adult budgie, the cere on a cock bird would be blue, and the cere on a hen bird would
be brown. If shes in breeding condition, then her cere would be very dark brown
