Welcome to ukbudgies breeding page!
Everyone has there own way of breeding budgies!
Some people add nesting boxes inside there avery, and let the budgies breed in the avery
Some people watch and wait to see 2 budgies pair up together, once they have paired
up, they remove the birds from the avery and put them into a different room, where there are
Breeding cages and nesting boxes hooked onto the cage!
Some people dont wait to see there budgies pair up, and just choose a cock and hen that they think would
Have nice colour babies, and put them into a breeding cage, with a nesting box, and wait aprox a week, to see
if the hen has started to go into the nesting box!
If by a week, the hen has not started going into the nesting box, then she proberley wont.
By this time, its time to choose another cock/hen
Personally i think the best way to get a breeding pair of budgies, is to watch
a cock and hen pair up in a avery, then remove them, and put them into a breeding cage
With a nesting box! I breed my budgies this way, and it always work!
i also have nesting boxes in my avery, and budgies also pair up very well and lay eggs this way
